Zooin' in a Winter Wonderland

The winter months are an excellent time for going to the Alaska Zoo. With the exception of the brown and black bears, all of the animals are very active and ready to put on a show for the visitors.

On Sunday morning, we encountered only one other family (oddly enough, they had twin girls) during our walk around the grounds, so Brook and I decided that we'd get a little exercise by running around the zoo while pulling the boys in their sleds. I got lucky about halfway through, as Finn said that Alice the camel wanted me to slow down. No problemo! I don't want to mess with Alice. Not to mention...why do I always get stuck with the backpack and water? The extra weight wasn't appreciated on the uphills.

I owe you one, Alice!

I love that you go to the zoo with sleds. We got your card today. Cute stuff, that family of yours.

That is SO awesome. Looks like a lot of fun and something that we'll never get to do in Texas! :-)

What a beautiful scene to be watching the animals in, lucky boys to get pulled around the zoo.
